This is just in from Sierra Leone!!!

“Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”
Habakkuk 1:5

Sierra Leone Base Testimony: “We are soldiers of our Lord Jesus Christ moving fearlessly with the Gospel into the unreached communities of Sierra Leone. We go on mission when money is available for gasoline, food, compensation and bike repairs.

Our Lord led us to the unreached village of Mobai. Mobai has a little mosque and a Catholic church building. The town chief Mr. Mohamed Kalokoh told us that the Catholic church has no pastor, no members, just a structure, but no Church service can be held.

We showed the Jesus film in the local language, Limba, with over 300 viewers. 60 registered to be baptized, but unfortunately strangers are not allowed to go to the river at night, so we slept in the village. Early in the morning, we made an announcement for baptism. We walked down to the nearby river, prayed and started baptizing. We baptized 107!!!! Probably, 90% were Muslims and 10% Animists. Two brothers we baptized, Samson Sesay and James Kalokoh, are willing to be trained and to lead the church.

We are asking the head office to assist us with at least $200 USD to enable us to send teams and form a temporary base there for the first two weeks. Everybody everywhere needs to hear the gospel. Sierra Leoneans need the Gospel! We want a second base, by the grace of God, because thousands of souls are ignorantly perishing. We move as soldiers.”

West Africa Worship

David and all Israel were celebrating with all their might before the LORD, with castanets, harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals… David said… I will celebrate before the LORD. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. 2 Samuel 6:5-22

African worship is often an unhindered celebration of praise. They love worship!!! Often, in refugee camp churches, where I did not even know the language, I have experienced my deepest worship. I’ve worshipped with those who’s total net worth was under $20, and they worshiped like David! That is something to ponder.

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:17-18

I give a testimony, in the 2-minute video below, of a worship experience in a refugee camp. Notice, all their instruments are homemade.

Daubing another church

We assist in the construction of church buildings that we have participated in starting. Most often we will provide a metal church roof with “milled” lumber. Those cost us about $500-$700.

Grand Kru County, Liberia Report: 99% of this church’s building material, in the 3-minute video, was harvest from the forest at no cost. The cost of construction was under $50. The thatched roof is made out of palm leaves. We gave a blessing to the man who did most of the work and we provided food for those who worked in the daubing of the church building. Daubing is where you apply mud to a weaved stick frame.

Active churches still needing roofs

Lofa County Base Report: “This is the church they have been trying to build for more than 3 years. Each time they start the work it will stop and break down because of the lack of money to complete it. Yesterday we came across them and introduced our mission. They’re happy to work with and be trained by WSA. We are asking for help so we can have a healthy church in this village.”

Several existing churches that we have assisted in starting need church buildings. Usually, we assist with the roof and they do the rest.

Testimonies from our bases

(Testimonies have been lightly edited)

Lofa County Base: “Mission went on in Kolahun District. This district is a place where you can find more unreached people. Teachings were done throughout the 6 towns we visited. The Mission of No Delay Base (The unofficial name they have given their base) is making sure to take the gospel in all directions to bring the minds of the people, who have not believed, to know the truth that brings salvation. We presented the WSA teaching lesson on SALVATION. They said, WSA needs to be with them at all time. And in the town called Kerkehewai, one of our field Leaders, Molue Kannel, has paid his woman’s dowry yesterday. We thank God for His work being done. Thanks very much for the mission.”

Sierra Leone Base: “Bush Fire!!! Good day fellow soldiers of the living God. Our Lord has led us to a churchless unreached Themne tribe village called Rogboro, with about 2,000 inhabitants. Our arrival was very timely and the news spread as quickly as a bush fire. After greetings and introduction, we began the presentation of the gospel. Many adults and youths were interested in hearing the gospel. We had a wonderful and blessed time with the community people. The chief and one of the elders said that the village belongs to Muslims, not Christians. But with God above, nothing is impossible, we shall return on Thursday to show the Jesus Film in the local language of Themne and probably church plant. Be in prayer with us that our Lord will use us more and more as everybody everywhere needs to hear the Gospel.”

Grand Cape Mount County Base: “Our team showed the Jesus film in Johnson farm. Several said that they wanted to be baptized in the morning. So, we went back the next morning and taught. By the help of God, we baptized seven. This churchless community, that we have been working with, has planned to have a church and are appealing to Wordsower to empower them with a roof. Our team has recently planted two other churches. Please be in prayer for these new believers.”

Thank you

Our on-site leaders and the donations of churches and individuals from abroad are bringing in a great harvest. We need the unity of us all, His Church, to accomplish our Lord’s command to reach the world. Thank you for your active love and faith. Thank you for sacrificing with us. We need additional monthly donors. Please pray about participating with us financially.

Participate with us in praise and prayer:

Praise: Churchless towns of unreached tribes are begging for us to come. It’s an avalanche of requests!
Praise: We continue to advance into the strongholds of Satan without the serious persecution of our teams.
Pray: Against the plans and advancement of the jihadists.
Pray: For increased donations so that we may continue to advance into unreached tribes.
Pray: For our indigenous missionary teams, that they will continue to fearlessly, boldly, and sacrificially advance the gospel.
Pray: As we prepare to create and send another indigenous missionary team to the Muslim unreached tribes of Sierra Leone.
Pray: For us we march into and live within the strongholds of Satan to, “snatch others from the fire and save them.” Jude 1:23.
Pray: “Finally, our friends, pray for us that the Lord’s message may continue to spread rapidly and be received with honor, just as it was among you. Pray also that God will rescue us from wicked and evil people; for not everyone believes the message.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2.
