“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you…” Jeremiah 1:5

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21

In 2005, while living in a Liberian refugee camp in Ghana, I met John Lomax and Joesph Mulbah. I discipled them in the camp that year. They traveled with me, along with other disciples, to establish our ministry, Wordsower Africa. I continued to disciple them in Liberia

Later they left Wordsower and went different directions. One of them, John, continued to live in Liberia. I lost contact with Joesph. Weeks ago, John traveled to Bangkok, Thailand to attend a wedding and decided to remain as an evangelist and church planter. What John didn’t realize was that Joesph was also in Thailand, faithfully doing the work of an evangelist in a distant village. Neither of them had planned it. Neither knew the other was there. And in God’s perfect timing, in a small, remote village, they crossed paths. Can you imagine their surprise? These two brothers meeting halfway across the world, both sent by God for the same mission. Our Lord had trained, prepared, reunited them, and lead them to the exact place He intended. As it’s written: “The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps” Proverbs 16. Wordsower Africa is now assisting them and will provide them with training material in their Tia language.

We are all part of something far greater than ourselves. This story reminds us that even when we don’t see the full picture, God is always leading, always positioning His people, and always directing our steps for His glory. So, be faithful where you are. Be obedient when He calls. You never know what divine appointments God has arranged just around the corner — or across the world. We never walk alone.

Testimonies from our Children’s ministry

Abu won his Muslim mother to Christ:
“Abu’s parents would always take him to the farm so that he couldn’t attend our Christian children Bible study. On Tuesday they forget to carry him along with them. He saw his friends listening to a bible story and decided to go listen since his parents were not around. The teacher was teaching the story from Matthew 5:38-40, about loving your enemy. He asked the teacher do Christians love Muslims? The teacher answered, yes and he asked again do Muslims love Christians? The teacher’s answer was I don’t know about them but we Christian’s love everyone.

After the session he went back home. After his parents came home, he asked his mother, do Muslims love Christians? His mother said, no because we are not the same faith. He repeated the question to his father and his father gave him the same answer. His father asked did you go to the Christian children study and he answered yes. The boy said to his parents, you told me that we don’t love them because we don’t have the same faith but they love us and they took good care of me today. Later the mother came to our base and said that from that day on her son, Abu, was obeying them and loving everyone coming around him. She said that she would love to also become a Christian.”

A testimony from 9 years old girl, Bendu from our children’s ministry:
“Bendu said her grandma came to put her into witchcraft activities. She begins to teach her about evil and how to kill. But Bendu said, “Grandma, our Bible teacher told us not to do evil or kill. My teacher told me that Jesus said we should do good and not even to curse. I will tell my teacher about this.” Her grandma ran from the town and went back to her village.”

We are grateful for the children’s ministry. Everybody everywhere needs to hear the gospel. Let’s keep praying for the children.

Testimonies from our bases

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts… So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:9-11

We are here in the Churchless village of Koromasiliai, occupied by the Kuranko unreached tribe. They always reject the gospel and have denied us entry several times. But, as is our custom, we returned and spent two hours discussing with a few groups of people the importance of the gospel and Christianity in the community. The chief is absolutely against having two religious beliefs in the town. He said that their fathers didn’t support Christianity and they too won’t allow any Christian activities in the town. The most important thing is that we did talk about Jesus Christ in the town for two hours. Those that have ears have heard and our Lord will work miraculously and spiritually to bring transformation in many lives In Koromasiliai.

We are not angry, neither moved by their rejection. We are fearless soldiers moving fearlessly with the gospel because everybody everywhere needs to hear the gospel. Many thanks to the team led Francis K. Kamara.”

“We arrived at New Yakepa at midnight after being many hours on a bad road. We were received by one of our disciples. There has been great opposition in this town from the traditional secret society people. Every time the new believers would have a service the “devil” (The demonic spiritual leader of their society) and his disciples would come out in violence and disperse them. One of the Christian leaders was taken into their society bush where they tied him and severely beat him.

We showed the Jesus film, 55 attended. After the showing we did a two-day teaching. Almost the whole town attended the training. Even the devil attended, standing in the back of the room. The people were scared believing he was taking note of who was there for future reprisals. Afterward, the devil invited us to his home, he confessed to us that that he had been in witchcraft from birth and that he can speak to his demon and fire can come down. There in his home he asked our Lord to forgive him, save him and to be a part of His kingdom. Many others also made confessions of faith and were baptized. Today we have a fellowship of believers in this once churchless town.”

“We thank God for the mission yesterday in the Wangay community where over 150 people viewed the Jesus film, twenty people gave their lives to Christ Jesus and 19 people were baptized this morning. Here is a churchless community dominated by Muslim people and we thank God for Wordsower making us come as far as here for the Gospel. We pray that there will be more. We pray for more soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ who will go fearlessly to save the lost.”

“While going to another village, we met this little boy climbing in the Palm tree to collect worms to sell and eat. It was so sad to hear that it was one of his sources of income. He sells the palm worms to pay school fees and put food on the table. His mum has been a widow for 10 years. Please be in prayer with little Alimany.”

“John the Baptist said, Repent and be baptized. Isatu B. Marah was baptized joyfully yesterday and proudly received her certificate of baptism. Please be in Prayer with this newly converted soul. Her parents are asking funny questions to discourage her. But we believe that with God above, all things are possible for Isatu.”

“We are soldiers moving fearlessly with the gospel here in the churchless village of Yambakiaya.
We showed the Jesus film in the local language of Kuranko, over 60 people viewed and 42 accepted to be baptized.”

“Seven town leaders approached us in the morning, including the town chief, expressing their desire to be baptized in a secluded creek, and asked us not to take photos of them being baptized. We agreed and baptized them not taking any photos of them.”

“Kuranko are highly Islamic and traditional secret society people. There was joy in heaven this morning over Falla village as 21 people were baptized from the Kuranko tribe.”

“In Gbatama village, 8 people were baptized this morning to the glory of God!”
