“From the time of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it” Matthew 11:12 (NIV 1988)

We fearlessly, boldly, advance into resistant unreached tribes. We do it aggressively. These tribes have been unreached for unknown generations and they want to remain unreached. But our Lord has commanded us, His Church, to take His gospel that brings salvation through faith, to every tribe. So, we go! We go in love, faith, obedience and sacrifice. One of the favorite sayings here in Liberia is, “It is not easy.” Last week, as we advanced, there were bike accidents resulting in facial stiches, cuts, and bruises. It is not easy, but it is worth it!

“Let those who wept as they planted their crops, gather the harvest with joy!
Those who wept as they went out carrying the seed will come back singing for joy,
as they bring in the harvest.”
Psalms 126:5-6

A common tactic we use is to show the Jesus film to a village. The 4-minute video below is proof that, “It is not easy!” And is an example of what it often takes to get to a remote village.

Almost never do we show the Jesus Film in a village without a harvest. The film quotes the book of Luke, presenting Christ’s birth, life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension. What God has said has been proven true. “My word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11.

The harvest is so sweet! The harvest is salvations, joy, and laughter. “Those who wept as they went out carrying the seed will come back singing for joy, as they bring in the harvest.” Ps 126:5-6. I love this short ½ minute video. It is a beautiful picture of the joy and laughter in the harvest. But what is sad is seeing the age of ol’ma (the old lady). Why has our Lord’s Church been absent? Tears of joy and sadness flow as I rejoice and grieve. I encourage you to replay this short video a few times.

The harvest includes the forming of new congregations in once churchless villages. Wordsower Africa works with new congregations to construct their church building. The 2-minute video, below, also features Jacob Holm and Silas Motyka. They are another team of interns that are to spend 7 months with us. It is Wordsower Africa’s boot camp, to confirm their call, training them to become the next generation of missionaries. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:15.
