“For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.” Matthew 24:24-25

Wordsower Africa goes into powerful demonic strongholds, into regions and towns that have never had a church and where Christians are not even allowed. Animism is a religion that worships idols. They have primitive temples, rituals, perform curses, signs, wonders and sacrifices. Sacrifices can include children and adults as a means to appease their god, Satan. Within these strongholds many signs and wonders truly exist. Wordsower Africa has never entered a demonic stronghold and not been able to start a church and not seen the power and influence of the stronghold crumble. The Below are two recent examples:

These are testimonies of converts telling us about what they have experienced in their villages. They are revealing dark secrets of their societies. The penalty of revealing these secrets is death.

There is a town within an animistic region, name and country withheld, that is very demonic. The town was established in 1936 and has never had a church. It is ruled by the demonic society. Every 10 years they have a new group of leaders initiated. The group size can be 150 men. They are taken into the bush and stripped naked for 4 days. They are called, “The New Generation”, or “The New Born”. In this intense spiritual battle, during their initiation, one must die and be sacrificed. There is a flat rock in a creek that the priest prays over it and it will grow two feet larger. They must jump over it. If a person fails to jump over it then they too must die. Wordsower entered one of the towns of the region evangelizing and teaching. Praise God, a church has been established and construction of the building has started!!! Another stronghold will crumble!

In another town we have started a church and completed the building. They have an idol there they have worshiped for generations. The idol would talk to them. But since the church has been established the idol has stopped talking.

Liberia Rain, Mud and Roads

Liberia’s average rainfall is 200” a year and most of that falls in 6 months, in comparison to Ohio which gets 40” a year. 200” + Dirt Road = MUD! Our dirt is clay and wet clay is like driving on ice. We have accidents regularly many of our drivers hobble around our base. We have bruises, blood and broken bones. The 4-minute video below is another example of the hardship, suffering and sacrifice that we go through to present the gospel of our Lord.

Wordsower Bible Institute

Our Bible Institute has 5 levels that teach the doctrines of scripture, discipleship, church planting, how to go as a missionary and live the Christian life. Throughout our current West Africa region, and throughout all of Africa, training of Christians is lacking and most often unavailable. This training corrects false teaching, shows them their purpose, and how to be spiritual leaders. We take the training to the people giving them much desired scriptural teaching.

Quote from our Indigenous Missionary Base Leader:

“Today is the second day of our Wordsower Bible Institute (WBI), Level 3 class, at our Grand Cape Mount County indigenous missionary base. The good tidings of the WBI are all over the county and even beyond. New students are turning up today again, yesterday attendance was 96, and today, we have a total of 103 persons. We thank God for His grace, and we are so delighted about the attendance. The people are astonished at the Wordsower teachings. They are pondering among themselves, saying all the teachings are scriptural, all of them come from the Bible. Some are asking why they didn’t know this truth before. We can really see the conviction and persuasion on their faces. We are Wordsower Africa, we teach the Bible with boldness. To God be the glory, what God cannot do doesn’t exist. It has been raining heavily since this morning, but guess what! We have a huge turnout of students, even from other counties. For the people to come out in the heavy rain to attend the WBI is a clear manifestation that we are progressing (they do not have cars, they walk or come on bike in the rain). People are tired of false teachings, they prefer Wordsower teachings that come from scripture.”

Testimonies from our indigenous missionaries sent into the unreached tribes:

(Our base leaders’ testimonies have been slightly edited)

“Mendes are one the largest of the ethnic groups of Sierra Leone. The vast majority, of this unreached tribe, are Muslims and animists. Most of their villages and towns are unreached and churchless. The Lord has been leading our teams to go to them preaching, teaching and baptizing those who confess Jesus Christ…This morning 21 more were baptized. We are seeing a great move of the Holy Spirit in the midst of the Mendes. Our prayers and desires are to make the gospel available to every person for the glory of God.”

“We showed Jesus film to one of the churchless villages, in the Pujehun district. All the villages we saw in this district had no church, and few if any Christians. I guess there are over 60 to 70 villages without a church in the Pujehun district. Souls are perishing!”

“We have had wonderful and successful mission trips in Bo, Pujuhum, Moyamba, and Kenema counties. Though it was not easy touring three counties with the gospel, most especially during this time of the rains. But again, it is our full responsibility to take the gospel to the unreached churchless villages and places as led by the Spirit of God. The more we sacrifice, the faster the gospel goes. Thanks be to God for his faithfulness and His grace upon us as we are making the gospel available to every person for the glory of God. Indeed, everybody everywhere needs to hear the gospel. We move, Wordsower.”

“After our training, a Muslim lady, A. Kamara, who had been invited by her friends, testified to the group that following Christ Jesus is the best decision ever for any human being to make on earth. Aminata decided to be baptized immediately. Her father and mother are Muslim. She knew that persecution, suffering and many challenges were before her, but said that she did not care how they would feel…  She was greatly concerned about their souls. Miss Kamara spoke boldly to them and about Christ and salvation. Surprisingly they accepted and believed. She assisted us in baptizing her parents.”

“We are very grateful to God for the church service today in the village church of Makorogbo.

Makorogbo welcomes Jesus, and His disciples. The village chief is an Islamic leader in the mosque. He attended our church service today and testified of the goodness of God. He said, since the arrival of Christianity their pump has been rehabilitated and one new hand pump installed. Everybody everywhere needs to hear the gospel. 115 were in an attendance today. We meet outside because we have no building and there is none large enough to house us. We need a building because the heavy rains can stop us from meeting.”

“The plan remains constant. No rest until the lord’s mission has been completed. Today we are along the Liberia Guinea border teaching the gospel to unreached and traditional animistic people. Everyone needs the gospel. We’re not resting until the message reaches the ends of the earth. We carry the gospel to places where others don’t want to go and are afraid to go. We move!!!!”

“We are sent today by the Spirit of God to an unreached town called Jenneh Brown. It is a gold mining town. They hold strong to their animistic religion. Both boys and girls are taken into their society bush, for initiation, by the Poro and the Bondo animistic societies. We taught them on the topic, dancing with the devil. It teaches about the truth about their demonic societies. After the lesson the people saw and accepted their wrong. They discussed with each other explained and agreed that this is a new teaching in their ears.”

Participate with us in praise and prayer:

Pray: Grand Cape Mount County is having a huge resurgence of the animistic demonic society. They are intimidating and threatening residents to join their secret society. They are using various methods to persecute the church and our indigenous missionary team.
Praise: Churchless towns of unreached tribes are begging for us to come. There is an avalanche of requests!
Pray: For increased donations so that we may continue to advance into unreached tribes.
Pray: For our indigenous missionary teams, that they will continue to fearlessly, boldly, and sacrificially advance the gospel.
Pray: For us, as we march into and live within the strongholds of Satan to, “snatch others from the fire and save them.” Jude 1:23.
Pray: “Finally, our friends, pray for us that the Lord’s message may continue to spread rapidly and be received with honor, just as it was among you. Pray also that God will rescue us from wicked and evil people; for not everyone believes the message.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2.
